Busting the Mainstream Testosterone Booster Myth
Swallow this magic pill that is guaranteed to increase your testosterone levels by 598.89% (based on scientific studies conducted by researchers on our payroll). Feeling like a weak,
Does that sound too good to be true? Sadly, that is the reality of the marketing hype that is being pushed down everyone's throats in this day and age. You walk into GNC, pick up a bottle of "testosterone booster" in a nice sexy font, see a picture of some jacked guy, and make the mental connection that taking these magic pills will transform you into the guy on the label.
If you don't fall for the hype, good for you. Give yourself a pat on the back. The reality is that many do, as evidenced by the sales figures of these bogus products that companies work so hard to promote. Testosterone boosters are one of the easiest money makers of the 21st century and it exists by feeding on the naive male desire to get superhuman results with no work and no risk.
Usually, they include horny goat weed or some other chemical that is known to give you a better erection. The rest may as well be fairy dust. A bunch of naive guys buy a bottle and think to themselves, "Wow! My sex drive has gone up! That means my testosterone must have increased!!", and fall for the hype.
There is a widespread misconception that anything that increases sex drive is a direct result of increased testosterone. While it is true that increased testosterone does result in a higher sex drive, the opposite is not true.
There's a few good supplements out there that will increase your sex drive for pennies. You don't need an overpriced bogus supplement to do that.
Are there any supplements that actually DO increase your testosterone?
Yes there are. But they work indirectly, rather than directly. Here's what I mean by that.
There are two ways for you to increase your testosterone via intaking some food/substance.
The first way is by directly manipulating your hormones via injecting them through a syringe or through eating them in oral form. These are commonly referred to as anabolic steroids and it would be illegal for any company to try and openly sell it to you (trust me, they would if they could).
The second way is by ingesting vitamins, minerals, and oils that your body uses to convert to testosterone through natural means. While this isn't as effective as directly manipulating your hormones (obviously), it can make a huge difference if done correctly.
The Real Deal Testosterone Booster
Ever since I found this hidden gem back in my freshman year of college, I've been hooked.
The #1 most important mineral for men is zinc. Zinc is the foundation for testosterone production and it can be supplemented in a couple of ways.
It's pretty much an "open secret" in the adult entertainment industry and male pornstars take full advantage of it the day before their shoots.
It's not a "supplement" in the traditional sense, although I treat it like one. Its fairly cheap, you can find it in practically any grocery store, and it has gotten me better results than any traditional "supplement" I've used.
What I'm talking about is oysters!!!
What exactly can you expect to gain?
- Blowing absolutely MASSIVE loads all over your girl (LITERALLY anywhere from 3 - 5x more)
- Stronger, fuller erections
- Deeper voice
- Hair grows longer and thicker
- Increased sense of confidence in your ability to take on the world
- Helps counteract the testosterone killing effects of alcohol and drugs (for all you party-ers)
- Feeling invigorated, full of power, and ready to dominate the world
- Overall, you feel more like a man!!!
So what exactly is it behind oysters that gives them all of these amazing benefits?
The reason is because oysters are packed full of an important mineral called zinc.
Even if you eat healthy, it's hard to get enough zinc in your diet through the majority of food you find at the supermarket.
Zinc is commonly found in:
- Oysters, lobsters, crabs, mussels, shellfish
- Red meat, steak, poultry
Shellfish by far contain the highest concentration of zinc above all the other common foods that we find on the shelves. Which means you don't actually have to eat that much (quantity) to get your zinc intake up to par.
It's a lot easier to eat a can or a tray of oysters then it is to eat thousands of calories worth of salmon or steak. Not to mention it takes a whole lot less time and strain on your wallet (important for a broke college kid).
It's cheap, its convenient, and it works like a charm.
What about powdered Zinc supplements?
I myself have used Zinc supplements in powder and capsule form in the past and I know for a fact that they do work. BUT, there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE in how you actually FEEL from getting your vitamins and minerals from actual food sources as opposed to powdered supplements.
Supplements a mineral with powder will ALWAYS be inferior to consuming it directly from a natural food source.
We do it out of convenience and sometimes out of necessity if the dietary sources aren't available.
What happens when you don't get enough Zinc?
Zinc deficiency in males has been directly attributed to
- Delayed sexual maturation
- Immune system deficiencies
- Impaired wound healing
- Diminished appetite
- Dulled taste buds
- Constant tiredness despite being well rested
- Mental dullness and laziness
- ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION (a reality for many men)
- Low confidence
- Feeling like a pussy
Who benefits the most from this?
Young high school and college aged men stand the most to gain from supplementing zinc. Let's be honest. If you're spending most of your time focused on school or working a job and you're strapped for cash, how are you going to afford to buy and prepare filet mignon, freshly caught salmon, or 100% organic meats and veggies?
Even if you play sports and stay physically active, chances are your testosterone is already in the shitter from a variety of factors you have no control over such as:
- being raised in a liberal society that tells you its evil to be masculine
- all the poisons and phyto-estrogens that you've been fed since the day you were born
- the debilitating effects of your alcohol and drug use
- having low testosterone to begin with
- dealing with the stressors of life
Even if you have the money to buy expensive top quality food, it is very hard to get the amount of zinc you need through a traditional diet unless you're eating A LOT of red meat and salmon.
How hard is it to open up a tray of oysters, mix them in with your food, and get your daily superdose in 10 minutes?
If you don't want to eat oysters or can't stand the taste of them, then at the very least supplement with capsules. Now Foods makes a high quality version and I'm preferential to their brand and reputation.
Just get it one way or another. Your body, your health, and your sex drive will thank you for it.
And you'll come back and give me all the credit 🙂
